MUTTON KHEEMA / MINCED MUTTON CURRY

Hi All,

Winters are chilling our nerves now!! So we are carving for something spicy and hot always.
Few days before for a cold weekend we planned for Lamb/Mutton and brought mutton kheema.
This is the first time Iam seeing Kheema so don't know how to prepare and what to prepare with it.
Finally decided to make some simple kheema curry to go well with Dosa and Chapati.
The recipe was so easy and the taste was very yummy , now I became kheema fan : ).
But one thing you always remember though the kheema looks clean , we need to wash it well to remove the raw smell else the dish will be yuk!!

Happy to share the recipe with you too,

NOTES :
  1. Wash mutton in a stainer so that mutton will not be washed away .Also after washing squeeze the water well.
  2. If you want to grind the mutton to kheema by yourself , then select mutton without bones, wash well grind it in your food processor coarsely.
  3. I used chicken masala instead of garam masala , if you can get mutton masala then use it for more better taste.

KADAMBA / KANAVA MASALA /SQUID FISH CURRY

Hi, Sea has lot of creatures in it that we can cook and we were much more unaware of many . Squid fish is one among the yummy species which I was totally unaware even after coming to Chennai. One day in market I saw them and surprised that they are selling octopus ( it looked like that to me :)). Then I surfed in net and found actually they are squid ( kadamba / kanava) and not octopus , My friend Saranya cooked this gravy for us during her visit to our home .I copied the recipe from her and tried next week itself.Though the squid fish looks very weird the taste was so yummy and there is no fish odor in that.It just tasted like mutton. The cleaning part is little tricky but easy, I suggest once you finished cleaning dispose the waste immediately out of your house as the waste from squid fish is very smelly and also it starts leaving water .So dispose the waste of squid as quick as possible. Other than that the fish tastes heaven , spicy, yummy and very easy to cook. I have
