GARLIC MUSHROOM FRY

Hi All,
GARLIC MUSHROOM FRY!! I made this garlic mushroom fry to go with wheat flour bhatura .
Mushroom has lot of proteins and we can say it is a boon for vegetarians.
In such a chill ,breezing weather this garlic mushroom and bhatura tasted heaven.
The simple ,spicy garlic mushroom recipe is as below,

COOKING TIME : 20 mins.
SERVINGS : 4 members.

INGREDIENTS :
Mushroom – 400 gms
Onions - 1 ( finely chopped).
Coriander leaves – 3 tablespoon.
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp.
Ghee / Butter – 1 tsp.
Mustard – 1/4 tsp
Salt – as per taste.

TO GRIND TO FINE PASTE :
Garlic - 10
lemon juice – 1 tsp
Dry red chillies - 5
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder -1/2 tsp ( for colour) .

FOR GARNISHING :
Onions – 1/2 no ( sliced thin lengthwise)
Garlic – 5 pods ( sliced thin lengthwise)
Oil – for deep frying.


HOW DO I COOK :
  1. Grind our grinding ingredients to fine paste with little water.
  2. Wash and clean mushroom and cut into halves.
  3. Heat oil in wide kadai and when oil reaches smoking hot add our garnishing ingredients ( onions and garlic ) and fry till crisp and golden brown.
  4. Remove from oil and drain the oil completely and keep it aside till use.
  5. Heat butter / ghee in kadai and add mustard , when mustard starts spluttering add chopped onions and saute till translucent.
  6. Then add ground paste ,salt and boil in medium flame till raw smell of masala leaves the pan.
  7. The add sliced mushroom , 1/4 cup water , close the pan and let it cook till mushroom cooks to soft and tender.
  8. When mushroom cooked and gravy turns thick ,sprinkle garam masala powder and mix well.
  9. Finally garnish with coriander leaves, fried onions and garlic ,give a quick mix and remove from flame.
  10. Serve hot and spicy garlic mushroom with Egg Dosa ,Aapam , chapati , pulka ,poori of your choice.
  11. I served with Wheat flour Bhatura.
